ABOUT

A collection of bespoke wedding and event invitation designs combining digital illustration with AI-enhanced visuals. From lively caricature-style wedding cards to modern, artistic AI-generated invites, the project highlights a balance of tradition, creativity, and visual charm. Inspired by Indian aesthetics, vibrant colors, and celebratory themes, these designs elevate the invite experience beyond paper — turning it into a personalized artwork. Eternal Invites reflects my interest in blending illustration, design, and new tools to create visually rich, memorable event branding.

Design Approach
Each invite reflects the story, culture, and style of the individuals behind the event. From traditional patterns to playful portraits, I craft designs that feel meaningful and visually rich. AI tools add new layers of detail, texture, and mood, allowing for unique variations without losing the personal touch.
Visual Language
Earthy and vibrant Indian color palettes
Custom illustrations of couples, flora, and symbolic elements
Custom typography & logos of events and invites
Subtle blend of hand-drawn details with AI-generated art
Eternal Invites demonstrates how illustration and technology can merge to create modern, visually captivating invitation designs. The project reflects my interest in making personal milestones feel artistic, expressive, and rooted in cultural storytelling.
Concept & Inspiration

This project explores the nuanced language of mudras—hand gestures deeply embedded in Indian classical dance, sculpture, and ritual art.
These gestures are more than physical forms; they carry layered meanings, spiritual significance, and narratives passed through generations. I was inspired to translate these gestures into modern illustrations that keep this intangible cultural heritage alive for new audiences.

Mriganayani — Eyes Like a Deer
‍
“Mriganayani” portrays the timeless metaphor of eyes as soft and captivating as a deer’s. The graceful gesture, paired with lotus blooms and the gentle deer, reflects beauty, purity, and quiet strength. Blending Indian aesthetic symbolism with modern illustration, this piece celebrates femininity, nature, and the subtle power of presence — where innocence, grace, and spiritual depth meet.

Nataraj — Midnight of Creation
‍
This artwork embodies the stillness and cosmic rhythm of Shiva, the eternal dancer. The poised blue hands form the Nataraj mudra, symbolizing both destruction and renewal — the endless cycles of the universe. The midnight sky, glowing crescent moon, and blooming blue lotuses evoke serenity, mystery, and divine power. The Neelkanth blue reflects Shiva’s transcendence over poison — a reminder of strength born from stillness, and beauty born from chaos.

Kapittha — The Gesture of Union
‍
This artwork depicts Kapittha mudra, symbolizing love, strength, and divine union. The blue and feminine hands embody Shiv-Shakti, eternal masculine and feminine energies. Birds perched together reflect companionship, while floating feathers connect nature to spirit. The merging skies evoke harmony, reminding us that opposites — like day and night — coexist to create beauty, balance, and the rhythm of life.

Padma — The Blooming Lotus
A graceful hand gesture symbolizing the blossoming lotus — a timeless emblem of purity and spiritual awakening. Flowing hands emerge from vibrant pink lotuses, set against serene blue waters, reflecting growth and beauty rising from within. The lotus teaches us resilience — to rise through murky waters, untouched yet rooted, blooming brightly in harmony with nature and soul.

Ala-Padma — The Lotus Bloom
The delicate, open palms emerge from blooming petals, evoking themes of purity, spiritual awakening, and inner beauty. Set against a dreamlike backdrop, the gesture becomes a visual metaphor for resilience — the power to rise untouched through chaos, much like a lotus blooming from still waters. A tribute to grace, softness, and transformation.

Visual Development
Research into classical Bharatanatyam mudras and their meanings
Concept sketches blending gesture, mythology, and nature
Use of bright Indian color palettes, floral and animal elements
Stylized compositions that emphasize symbolism and emotional depth

Recurring motifs of flora, fauna, and mythic creatures weave together the connection between body, gesture, and the natural world.
The series presents each mudra as a standalone artwork, merging cultural history with modern design. The illustrations convey themes of identity, spiritual agency, and ancestral memory, while visually bridging the gap between traditional art forms and contemporary illustration.

This project reflects my ongoing passion for blending Indian aesthetic traditions with digital mediums. It serves both as a personal tribute to classical art forms and as an artistic experiment in making symbolic language more accessible through bold, visual storytelling.

Overview

The Skate Cities project is a speculative AI-generated game concept, envisioned as part of a studio internship assignment. Using AI tools like MidJourney, I crafted vibrant, futuristic visual environments for a high-energy skating game set in two iconic global cities — Dubai and Singapore.

Objective

The task was to imagine and illustrate immersive, sci-fi urban landscapes that blend modern architecture with surreal gaming aesthetics. The project required exploring how AI tools can be harnessed to visualize game environments quickly, while maintaining a distinct visual identity.

Dubai’s design reflects hyper-modern skylines, neon accents, and luxury-inspired energy.

Concept & Inspiration

The design draws heavily from Hindu temple architecture — particularly the towering pillars and intricate carvings that define these spaces.
The lotus, or kamal, an enduring symbol of purity and spiritual awakening in Indian culture, is embedded as a key motif throughout the letterforms. My goal was to create a typeface that feels bold, structured, yet deeply connected to cultural memory.

Visual Development
1. Studying traditional temple structures, carvings, and motifs
2. Hand-sketching initial forms and decorative elements
3. Digitally refining letterforms for consistency and readability
4. Incorporating subtle lotus and temple-inspired curves and details
The typeface blends geometric structure with ornamental softness, reflecting the harmony between tradition, functionality, and visual storytelling.
Final Outcome

Kamal is a striking display typeface ideal for headlines, titles, branding, and projects that celebrate cultural identity. Its bold lines echo architectural strength, while the decorative motifs add elegance and depth.
The font balances tradition with modern usability, offering designers a tool for creating impactful, culturally expressive visuals.

Reflection

Kamal reflects my ongoing exploration of Indian aesthetics, heritage symbolism, and the intersection of typography with art and storytelling.
It demonstrates how functional design can carry meaning, history, and visual richness beyond just text.

Overview

As part of a freelance collaboration with a design agency, I undertook the complete rebranding of Gujarat University — one of India’s prominent educational institutions. The objective was to modernize its visual identity while respecting its legacy, ensuring clarity, consistency, and cultural relevance across all brand touch-points.

Design Approach

Inspired by Gujarat’s cultural vibrancy and architectural heritage, the rebrand integrates structured geometry with modern design sensibilities.
Earthy tones are complemented with bold accents, and temple-inspired patterns subtly unify the visual system. Every element — from lanyards to flags — reflects clarity, approachability, and pride in the university's legacy.
